Private Voice Lessons (45 minutes)

Service Description

Miss Clarissa helps young singers ages 7-12, build strong, healthy vocal habits while discovering the joy of singing in a supportive, one-on-one setting. Lessons focus on age-appropriate vocal technique, breath support, pitch accuracy, and basic music theory--all while helping students grow in confidence and self-expression. Each lesson is tailored to the individual child and includes fun vocal warm-ups, technique exercises, and learning favorite songs from musical theatre, pop, Disney, or other child-appropriate genres. Emphasis is placed on expressive performance, developing a positive relationship with their voice, and developing an appreciation for a variety of music genres. Miss Clarissa can also coach students for musical theatre auditions--by exploring and practicing song ideas, script reading, and through character development exercises. Perfect for beginners or students with some singing experience. No prior training required—just curiosity and a love of music! Instruction is for 45 minutes, once a week, at Miss Clarissa's home in Charles Town, WV. Tuition is $34 per lesson, billed monthly, for a total of $136 a month. This includes instruction and learning materials (digital teaching platform, printing sheet music, and a provided binder). A 30-min. free trial lesson can be booked separately to see if voice lessons are a good fit for your child. Starlight Creative Arts Studio is also a Hope Scholarship Service Provider for homeschooling families (purchase is made through the hopescholarshipwv.gov portal with a receipt emailed from Miss Clarissa). On the portal, you will purchase up to 4 lessons at a time (the amount of weekly lessons available through the end of the month). When you select lesson dates on Miss Clarissa’s website, make sure the “Hope Scholarship” plan is checked at check-out so that you are not charged.
